Uncle Pedro and I

These are some of the things I remember about Uncle Pedro.

1. Uncle Pedro was very kind to me.


2. He stopped me from eating fluff when I was a baby.
(Parent note: When Thomas was about 11 months old, Pedro, my sister and Raidyn came to visit us in London. During that time we were living in a cottage in Hampstead which Thomas called the "fireworks house". This is due to him standing on the window sill one evening watching the fireworks from his bedroom window on Guy Fawkes night. Pedro had to look after the boys that day while we did food shopping. When we came back from our food shopping, Pedro looked totally flustered as he was chasing Thomas around the room to prevent him from eating the fluff off the floor.)

3. He played construction set with me.
(Parent note:  Thomas and I went to Melbourne in May 2012 to spend a week with Pedro, my sister and Raidyn. Thomas saw Pedro in a wheelchair but there was no discrimination. He just saw him as his uncle. I told him that he cannot see properly on his right side and Thomas just knew that he had to stand on his left to be seen. They played hide the construction set. They had a whale of a time. Pedro died two weeks later after we returned to London.)
